NAO SANTA MARIA VISITS PORTLAND

Sailing Ships Maine is thrilled to host tall ship Nao Santa Maria at Maine Wharf in downtown Portland from Wednesday, September 18th through Sunday, September 22nd. The newly constructed vessel was commissioned by the Nao Victoria Foundation and is a replica of the original flagship that discovered the maritime routes to Americas, captained by Christopher Columbus.

Nao Santa Maria will be greeted with a welcome ceremony on Wednesday afternoon, with daily tours from 9:OO AM through the evening, Thursday through Sunday. The visit will conclude with a cocktail party aboard the ship with live music by Viva & The Reinforcements benefiting Sailing Ships Maine and the Nao Victoria Foundation on Sunday evening from 5:00 to 7:00 pm. Thursday: 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM (last tour at 4:30 PM)

Friday & Saturday: 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM

Sunday: 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM (last tour at 4:30 PM)

SANGRIA SUNDAY PARTY

The Ship’s visit will conclude with a cocktail party with live music by Viva & The Reinforcements from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM benefiting Sailing Ships Maine and the Nao Victoria Foundation.
