BUY A BOAT

Sailing Ships Maine receives boats in donation, the sale of which directly support scholarships for our non-profit mission: providing life-changing opportunities for teens of all abilities and income levels to discover the ocean environment and expand leadership skills while encouraging them to consider further maritime training.

Even during the pandemic, resale of donated boats has raised over $50,000 annually in scholarship funds. Other donated boats have been used to provide experiential education for teens and adults.

We have a variety of used boats, from blue water performance cruisers to coastal cruisers to pocket cruisers and day sailors. We also have motor boats of various sizes, as well as sailing dinghies, rowing dinghies, outboard dinghies, and canoes.

If you’re looking for a used boat and want to support a great cause, please consider purchasing a boat from Sailing Ships Maine and help send kids to sea for the life-changing experience of week-long sailing adventures.

Some of our boats listed below are with a broker (linked), while others we are selling outright. If you see a boat in this list that you’re interested in, please reach out. And if you are looking for a specific type of boat, let us know. We have a large inventory of boats in various conditions and receive a steady stream of donations all the time.
