Casco Bay Community Rowing

Please join us as we launch a fixed-seat rowing club based in Portland. We will begin rowing for fun and community in Portland this summer and you can even help finish building the boat this spring. Our flagship rowing boat is a 32 foot Whitby Cornish Pilot Gig (sistership pictured above). Our sistership has been rowing for a year and has been a success.

This boat requires 6 rowers, each with a single oar, and a coxswain and has room for two additional guests. Rowing is great exercise, a great way to meet people and an affordable way to explore Casco Bay. This boat is stable and has high topsides making it safe and capable of rowing in the ocean and in varied sea states. It’s light and relatively fast. No prior rowing experience needed.

Annual Membership: $140.
