SEA SCOUTS IN MAINE

Sailing Ships Maine is a chartered organization for the Sea Scouts in Maine. We welcome the development of new Sea Scout groups called ships. Girls and boys ages 11 to 20 are invited to form Sea Scout groups call ships anywhere in Maine under our charter. For more information, email us at info@sailingshipsmaine.org

The mission is to provide year-round sailing-related educational opportunities and to put girls and boys on a path to becoming Quartermasters, the Sea Scouts' highest rank, akin to Eagle Scout. We are happy to partner with groups to develop great programs in support of great Sea Scout ships.

And we welcome Sea Scout ships from anywhere in the world to come to Maine to experience nautical programs along the Maine Coast and across the Gulf of Maine.

Career Development - Scouts may develop a portfolio of skills which will be of great career value not matter what their chosen field. Participation in scouting programs will provide sea time toward USCG licenses.
