11 am – 6:00 pm Education Station at Compass Park/Maine State Pier. Enjoy musical performances, introduction to navigation, visual storytelling and much more!
11:00am – Northeast Maritime, Eric Dawicki
12:00pm – Cartoon Artist, Jay Piscopo, and Author of The Undersea Adventures of Capt’n Eli offering an interactive drawing workshop!
1:00pm – Roll and Go – Maine group of men and women who
love to sing “sea shanties”
2:00pm – Portland Teens share their tall ship experiences from then past 2 weeks
3:00pm David Wood – Five Centuries of Tall Ships
4:00pm Tim Queeney – Osher Map Library & Smith Center for Cartographic Education. Tim will also discuss map projection and how navigators make their own charts for celestial Navigation.
5:00pm – United States Power Squadron – Nautical Whimsy, and a variety of light topics, lore, phrases, etc.
