In August 2017, Tall Ships Portland and South Street Seaport Museum teamed up to offer Maine teens two different voyages. The first voyage from Narragansett Bay,  to Portland, Maine.  The second voyage began and ended in Portland- voyaging up the Maine coast and exploring the waters and coves of Penobscot Bay, and beyond.

Sailing Ships Maine creates life-changing opportunities for teens of all abilities and income levels so that they may discover the ocean environment and expand leadership skills while being encouraged to consider further maritime training.  Through public events, we support the marine economy, provide access to the ocean and traditional sailing ships and preserve our maritime heritage.
